1. Just got back from Chicago, coaching the MN youth slam team at Brave New Voices. It was a great time, and now I’m extra hype for the National Poetry Slam, the adult version. It’ll be in West Palm Beach, Florida, this August. 2. Our last team fundraiser for NPS will be on Sunday, 8/2 at the Artists’ Quarter in St. Paul; it’s the always-popular Erotic Slam. Get there early. 3. A bunch of show announcements: “One Day in July” Labor Festival with Brother Ali on 7/25 (free and all ages), Summertime Hip Hop BBQ Jam for the World w/ See More Perspective, Toki Wright and Maria Isa on 7/31 at the Nomad, and three big shows in early September: Junkyard Empire’s CD release, No Bird Sing’s CD release, and the Clapperclaw Festival. Check MY MYSPACE for a FULL CALENDAR. 4. We finished recording AN UNWELCOME GUEST, my zombie-superhero-love story concept album with Big Cats. Lots of updates on that coming soon; album should be out in late 2009. 5. Download our HARRY POTTER REMIX for free! Guante & Big Cats! featuring Chantz. 6. As always, check my regular blog or my twitter if you’re into all-the-time updates.  A few updates: 1. playing Soundset ‘09 on Sunday 5/24 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN; w/ Atmosphere, the Pharcyde, MF DOOM, Brother Ali, Freeway and many more. 2. I won the St. Paul Grand Poetry Slam, and will be competing at this year’s National Poetry Slam in West Palm Beach, Florida in August. 3. Hip Hop Against Homophobia June 13 at the Bedlam Theater in Minneapolis and June 27 at the Depot in Hopkins (I’ll be out of town for the first, but playing the second w/ Big Cats!). 4. Going to be in Chicago from 7/14-7/19 coaching the MN youth poetry slam team at Brave New Voices.  Lots of traveling in general this summer.  5.
